After receiving his A.B. in Economics from the University of Connecticut in 1969, Dan Lyons received his J.D., cum laude, from the New England School of Law in 1976. He was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in 1976, to the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut in 1989 and to the U.S. Supreme Court in 1998. He has more than 30 years of experience in criminal law, and more than 25 years experience representing injured people.
A former prosecutor before entering private practice, Dan worked for seven years in the Office of the State's Attorney in New Haven and Bridgeport, handling matters ranging from routine motor vehicle cases and misdemeanors to serious felony cases in Part A of the Superior Court (Career Criminal Division). He provides representation in all state and federal courts in Connecticut and all state courts in Massachusetts. While Dan has a statewide practice, he concentrates on courts in New Haven, Meriden, Milford, Derby, Middletown, and Bridgeport.
